1. I don't think either would be okay with being VP for 2008.

I think it's an all or nothing venture for both of them (if Gore does run, which I hope he does.)

2. She'd have to give up her Senate seat

She gains nothing from being his Vice-President.

If Gore were to run and were to get the nod, then I think it would be better if he picked someone a little less divisive.

But...it's a more than a year away. Gore has not said he'll run and we haven't had the first caucus or primary. All we have are poll numbers.

3. It'll never work

Senator Clinton will not sit second chair to anyone I don't think and frankly, I don't think she'd be a big help on the ticket.

Gore has payed his dues as second chair and already won the popular vote for Prez. once. Anyone who ever suggests him as anyone's vice-prez. is demonstrating the height of political ignorance--and yes, I know it is not being suggested here. Have seen it elsewhere on DU from time to time.

Your ticket is certainly more possible than Gravel-Mikulski, but I think both its members want the top spot.

I don't see either Gore or HClinton settling for seconds.

And If Gore doesn't run I could see Gore/Webb being a great combination.
I'm just interested in how people viewed the possibility of Gore/Clinton as both are very good politicians who would complement each other.
As for them not getting along is that really true?

I have no clue based in fact - I don't know either of them personally, my opinion is based on their personal and political styles and what they appear to hold dear.

11. I don't think it will ever happen

I read an article over a year ago where some of Gore's friends says he "immensely dislikes" Hillary. It did not say why. I also think neither would settle for the vp spot, Gore has already been there and given Hillary's age and ambition I don't think she would be happy as vp either. Richardson, Obama, Edwards would all make good vps.

If you don't like any aspect of this idea, there's no way to vote that way.

I'm not enthusiastic, nor see the value in having HRC on the ticket at all, however, there's no way to vote that way in this poll, so I didn't vote at all, because even the "no" choice says "it's a great ticket". Not quite.

Running her as VP would give us all the disadvantages of running her as President, but without picking up any of the advantages or strengths that she would bring to the top of the ticket.
