Stupid people LOVE Guiliani

There's a woman in my office who I sort of use as a barometer of what Stupid People think. Over the years, if there's a Stupid People meme, I've heard it from her ("fight them over there so we don't have to..")

Her new meme is "I hate politics and try to tune it out, but I really love Mayor Guiliani. He was GREAT when 9/11 happened. He was RIGHT THERE"

I said "of course he was right there - he was dumb enough to put his Emergency Management office right in the WTC complex, even after the terrorists had targeted that area before." She just looked really angry. "Well, I still thought he did a great job right then." Rather than fight with her (it's not that big an office) I just said "well, I give him credit that he wasn't running and hiding like some politicians" (she loves Our President). She looked a little confused, but accepted it as a peace offering.

So there you have it people: The Willfully Uninformed's new meme for the coming election. Guiliani is a HERO. You've heard it before, but refuse to believe that people still accept it, but they do.

Didn't have the heart to ask if she knew anything about his personal life....
