Here's the link to version 2 of my Stephen Colbert's video editing contest rough cut!
Let me know what you all think, I'm looking for constructive criticism here. I'm hoping to make this good enough to get it on "The Colbert Report" and, if nothing else, use it on my Edit Reel.

Here's the deal: Steven Colbert issued a video editing challenge to ALL in response to Rep. Rom Emanuel's charge that he edits his interviews with U.S. Congress people to make them look silly!

So he did an on-show interview with PBS's Gwen Eiffel, posted the video at www.colbertnation.com and said Edit away!

Here's the link to the source video:

Here's the video of the challenge:

Also, please remember that this is Comedy/Satire and does not represent my personal views or those of Stephen Colbert.

Here's the link to my Edit version #2:hi:

1. I'm not too crazy about the lines in your edited versions
Edited on Fri Mar-30-07 12:32 AM by Contrary1
where Stephen says the troops are idiots or stupid. And, I know this is not your personal view.
I just don't think that Colbert himself would either approve or participate in such an edit.
Other than that...I like it. :toast:

2. You should really watch the video from his show in which he makes his challenge.
The contest was to make him look foolish and say things he (or actually his character on his show) wouldn't actually say.

He made this "challenge" in response to Rep. Rom Emanuel's charge that his show edits the interviews with U.S. Congress people to make them look foolish.

The link to the show video is above the links to my edited version.

3. Your submission is one of the better ones..
and I watched many of them. They all seem to have the same theme.

6. Good work! And, if your win, Colbert's audience will supply the missing laughter.
