Fred Thompson is more concerned that the PATRIOT act might be weakened than with corruption

In this interview (On the Laura Ingraham Show), he says that the President should have fired the attorneys without giving any justification whatsoever. He says that the attorney scandal is a tempest in a teapot, but he is worried that Democrats will strip the President of his power under the PATRIOT act in a time of war.

As I said on another thread, Fred Thompson appears to be no different from the loons we already have. The loons that just lost in a landslide last election.

That's an important tool in nuetralizing the domestic opposition. They'd much prefer we be afraid about some ambiguous external enemy than be focused on the domestic corruption that is really destroying this country.
