Press Advisory: Kucinich Press Conference on Rising Gasoline Prices Set for 5 p.m. PDT

SAN FRANCISCO, March 31 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Democratic

Presidential candidate Dennis J. Kucinich will hold a press conference at 5
p.m. PDT Saturday, March 31, 2007 at Union Square in San Francisco, Calif.,
to discuss rapidly escalating gasoline prices across the country, and in
the San Francisco Bay area in particular.

Kucinich will address the matter of how the current instability in the
Middle East is affecting gasoline prices, how price increases in the San
Francisco Bay area and other parts of California are running proportionally
higher than in other parts of the country, and how the federal government
could intervene to protect consumers.

The Ohio Congressman will also discuss how a windfall profit tax on the
oil companies could buffer the effects of price spikes such as the one
California is now experiencing.

Union Square in San Francisco is the block bordered by Stockton, Geary,
Powell and Post Streets. It is three blocks north of the Powell St
BART/MUNI station and four blocks west of the Montgomery Street BART/MUNI
station.

1. You mean...
...bad foreign policy, a coterie of oil-industry shills at the top of the government, and brain-dead gas guzzling by clueless consumers has consequences?

Who knew?

2. Gas was $1.41 when Bush took office.
(At least that's what the bumper sticker says)
