Can Wes Clark get back in the race?
If things start looking even worse than they already do for Kerry, can Wes get back in the race? Does anyone think he would?

5. Hey, xultar,
How ya doing, girl?

I've been fretting over my vote, and so far, I'm sticking with voting for Clark. I know that a lot of the students who have busted their butts for him will do the same.

I don't think that it will get us anywhere other than to send a 'thank you' to the General, but Hell, at this point, I just can't find the heart to vote for anyone else. I don't expect Clark to get back in, but hey, I have never claimed to be very good at predicting a damned thing in life.

15. I am probably voting for Clark in NY too.
I have worked too hard not to. I may vote for another candidates delegates and volunteer for them.

You are either not a Clark supporter, or have never had a candidate to be passionate about. You will understand when your candidate drops out.

7. Perot did it in '92...
...and it cemented the perception that he was a nutcase. Such would be the repug tactic if Wes did it now.

9. That's right
and we wouldn't want our General to be the focus of ridicule. He's so much more than this race.

10. Indecisiveness
is not a good quality for a president to appear to have.

But if the circumstances change dramatically, it wouldn't be indecisiveness but rather a call to duty.

Still, I don't think it's a good idea.

13. If he did, he could not seem too eager
This will have to play out without him for awhile at least. I don't see it likely for many reasons. Regardless, Clark can not get ahead on this one (nor should he). March 2nd is still far enough away, not to mention the Convention. If voters reject Kerry, we Will see what they want instead.

But for now this is ONLY A DRUDGE HIT JOB against Kerry. No one should try to pick it up and run with it, nor give it any juice whatsoever. If it runs strong all by itself I suppose I will need to rethink matters.

17. There are two options
1) As has been mentioned, the coup.

2) Scandalgate. Kerry gets scandalled, Edwards gets Scandaled, and then Terry McAuliffe goes insane.

18. With the revelations
That the reasons that that the media is scurrying looking around for a Kerry scnadal can only be sourced to Clarks off the record statement( that's what set the media looking in the first place), the fact that Clark dropped out may have more to do with him having started adn unsubstantiated rumor, than anything else.
