You notice no one thought it might be right to at least ask the citizens of Washington, DC whether they thought this might be a good thing or not. But then "Taxation without Representation" is on their license plates.

2. I Take Exception To The Term Swamplands Of NJ

It's insulting to the residents of a state that is clearly "with it" enough to realize what an important event this can be, also smart enough to the know the state will benefit greatly from it.(I do not live in NJ) Also it seems to demote the importance of the event itself, can't be held in DC, not important enough, so must be relegated to a "swampland".

So Inhofe, minority member, has managed to stop this? The fact that this one jerk senator can wield this much influence makes me wonder where the dem support is and why haven't they stopped things over the last six years.
