A proposed "LINE OF REASONING" for Reid and Pelosi
Edited on Sat Apr-14-07 05:26 PM by Parisle
--- As our two legislative leaders continue to battle for honest cooperation and transparency from the Bush White House,.. in matters ranging from the Plame outing to the untoward USA dismissals to the "lost emails," ..... here is a point I would like to see them make:

--- "In responding to these proper and legitimate investigations, it is incumbent upon the administration to avoid any and all positions which could be ambiguously interpreted as shielding criminal activity from public view, if only in appearance. If a refusal to provide certain documents could also have the dual effect of "covering up" unethical, inappropriate or criminal behavior,.. and especially when evidence of such behavior already exists,.. then Congress must act in the best interests of the American people, and disallow that refusal. The documents and the testimonies MUST be forthcoming in order for the strong suspicion of malfeasance to be lifted."

--- Or have they already said words to that effect when I wasn't paying attention?

2. Sorry. My mistake. I meant "line of reasoning."

--- I still would like to see them say this to the administration. Wouldn't you?

--- (edit) There,.... how's that?

3. They Can't Reason--That's the Problem

A mind is a terrible thing to waste. (our opposition, that is)

4. Perhaps "our opposition" can't reason,.. or don't want to.
--- But America watches a lot of crime and courtroom shows,... and the "line of reasoning" I suggested would be readily understood by plenty of them. I think of it as a counter to Rove's "plausible deniability" theory. Care to comment on it?

5. Now We Just Have To Get Congress To Listen to Reason
Pull those fingers out of their ears, etc.

The public has heard, and reasoned, and advocated, does it take a civil riot to get some response around Washington? That's what I'd like to know.
