Colbert will, no doubt, take note of this cowardice next week. David Gregory just discussing this on MSNBC. Rich Little? How lame!

7. White House still has dinners? With people other than lawyers? Ah, accomplices
huddling in the bunker and pretending they have fun - this should actually be fun to watch, in a painful, pathetic sort of way....The rearranging of the chairs on the deck of the Titanic will be a throwback to the glorious 70's then? Let the disco blare!

9. That's exactly what Colbert did last year, with the help of the magnificent Helen Thomas.
Colbert had them squirming in their seats, hitting too close to home, so they decided to go with the toothless Rich Little this year to poke harmless fun at the Washington establishment.

Way to go, cowardly White House Correspondents--with the exception of the magnificent Helen Thomas, of course!

13. I have not SEEN Rich Little since I was a little boy in the late 1970s-early 80s.
Even then, his impressions were some what dated: Truman Capote, Nixon, Groucho Marx, Burt Reynolds, Carol Channing, John Wayne...

Pretty much like watching the yypical guests on Johnny Carson circa 1975-1982...I remember that my aunt had to explain to me who Nixon was.

I remember he did "A Christmas Carol" where he played all the characters- pretty funnny....

I always thought he was funny when I was a kid, but I agree, a very 'safe", lame choice.
