I know this isn't news, but Cokie Roberts is dumber than dirt.
On Steph's show she commented that the little prince's announcements on AIDs relief for Africa and Darfur were evidence of his continued commitment to compassionate conservatism. She went on to say that this is where W is really at his most comfortable. How gullible do you have to be that after 6 years of carnage, looting and lies, you still believes in Rove's deeply cynical campaign imagery. This bit of chattering class inanity was complemented by Kelly O'Donnell's credulous repeat of the inside the belt way belief that loyalty is one of the hallmarks of the Bush regime. If you don't believe that loyalty is a only a one way street for the Bushies just ask Paul O'Neil or better yet inquire of the guy being measured for an orange jump suit, Scooter Libby.

1. Bwak! Bush builds his legacy! Bwak! Bush builds his legacy! Bwak!

Can't decide - she's either too lazy to actually travel anywhere outside of the district and meet anyone earning less than $345,000 annually, or she is indeed dumber than a bag of hammers.

3. They think it compassionate when they take care of "their own..."
Beyond the inner circle, compassion does not exist and that is perfectly acceptable to RWers.

5. And not a note of condencension or criticism anywhere...
I remember if anybody DARED mention "legacy" during Clinton's term, it was LOUDLY and ANGRILY denounced - and they devoted whole shows to their diatribes against Clinton...

But IOKIYAR...

6. I was torn between what I said & a bag of hammers, but went with the
the shorter analogy. But whether dumb or lazy she is a shill for this immoral twit. Compassionate conservatism my ass.

2. It's possible that Bush, deep in his tiny heart, is the most compasionate of the neo-cons.
That isn't saying much.
