Obama got softball questions and, except for the abortion one, so did Clinton. Just my take...

7. Controversial or not, I think he handled the format the best

Obama and Clinton just seemed like candidates -- and Hillary especially seemed to be pandering to me when she spoke about a potential "alliance" with the anti-abortion crowd -- while Edwards spoke as a person, not out to score points but just to further introduce himself to the American people.

Edwards came off entirely as a politician.

Obama offered up the fact that with a bully pulpit, he could help change the heart of America....and it was a powerful message.

What policies did Obama talk about to alleviate poverty, aside from expanding early education, the latest DLC and HRC talking point. Where was his broader vision to deal with poverty? Where were the steps he is proposing to achieve his vision of ending poverty? There is a reason he is Wall Street's favorite candidate, even more so than HRC and Giuliani...

Obama seems to have talked more than have questions posed. They were all good... but John Edwards seemed more relaxed than the others, IMO.

It's better to have candidates talk this way... much better!

They were all asked this one last night, and instead of mentioning poverty, or saying he'll end the war in Iraq, he's evidently day-dreaming of galavanting around to North Korea, Iran, Darfur, and Lebanon to "make them respect us again"...
