Huckabee on Guantanamo is out of his mind
He just told Blitzer that he visited there a year ago. He also visited all the prisons in Arkansas. I presume the latter was as governor. Anyhow, he said that the prisoners in Arkansas "would love" to be in Guantanamo instead. That Guantanamo is more a symbol rather than substantive problem.

1. if he is saying that then he is either evil
or was shown a pack of lies. neither one makes him insane although the first one makes him way up there in the monster category.

3. He wasn't shown GitMo, that's for sure
even though he is a repuke Baptist minister with some strange ideas about marriage and evolution, I don't see him as one who would see what really goes on at GitMo and lie about it.

4. Yeah.
Who seriously thinks that the guided tour of GITMO, or any prison for that matter, presents the conditions faithfully?

And in any case, prisons inside the US are very bad, with violence, rape (transmitting STDs), and lack of decent medical care.

5. How could he believe the Disney version he was shown?
It's not rational to accept that version without question. Someone just committed suicide there the other week and he makes no mention of it.

Seems to me that he's fitting his fingers to his ears and singing the "La-La" song.

6. There is a certain mindset that is, shall we say,
simple? That really thinks John Wayne was a great war hero and that America has always been great and was founded by good Christians on Christian principles? That's Huckabee.
