On edit:

A MoE of 5.5% means that the number can sway 11% in either direction. So Clinton's 36% could be actually 25% and Obama's 16% could be 27%... statistics...so boring... add that there is NO indication of sampling size and when the poll was conducted with whom...

Poll: Clinton, Giuliani ahead in Florida

Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Rudy Giuliani are lapping their rivals by roughly 20 points in Florida, although many voters haven't picked a favorite in the presidential race, according to a poll conducted for The Miami Herald.

Among Republican voters, 30 percent said they weren't sure, preferred an undeclared candidate or won't vote. Among Democrats, 28 percent were in limbo.

''This poll in Florida reflects what the national polls are showing,'' pollster John Zogby said. "This is all wide open. The campaign has not been engaged sufficiently in Florida for us to get a real read.''

Nearly 31 percent of the 326 Republicans surveyed said they would have voted for Giuliani if the election would have been last week. Slightly more than 36 percent of the 332 Democrats surveyed said they would vote for Clinton.

The telephone poll of people who identified themselves as likely voters was conducted Monday through Wednesday and has a margin of error of 5.5 percentage points.

Pollster John Zogby cautioned against drawing too many conclusions from the poll results, saying the candidates have spent little time campaigning in Florida and that the popularity of Giuliani and Clinton largely reflects their years on the national stage.

"This is a name-recognition poll," Zogby said.
