New Hampshire state Senate President Sylvia Larsen, of Concord, formally endorsed Hillary Clinton for president this afternoon, marking one of the biggest endorsements for the New York senator thus far.

Here are speeches she's given on various issues: http://www.hillaryclinton.com/news/speech/

Here's her Senate page's link to her issues (including the actions she's taken on those issues): http://clinton.senate.gov/issues/

And some of her major policy addresses: http://clinton.senate.gov/news/columns/addresses.cfm

So where do you get the idea that "she has no policy"? And why do you keep posting the same question, despite evidence of her work on the issues?

It's gotten to that point and they still have 8 months to go! Talk about burning out fast.

4. No offense, but I'm not making my mind up because other people made their mind up
Indeed I think it a pitiable surrender of individuation to base a decision on endorsements. I am politically persuaded by nothing they do or say.

Such top down suasion is just BS in an age when information is mine for the asking and I am fully capable of judging it for myself.

Edited on Wed Jun-13-07 09:25 PM by ElizabethDC
Did he get a lot of endorsements or something? If so, I'm not sure that that's enough to make them altogether similar.

31. Muskie was set up as the overwhelming favorite with all the
endorsements in 1971 and crashed and burned in 1972. I think if Hillary loses early in states such as NH and IA she's likely to lose in the super primary in Feb. Endorsements mean little in the overall scheme of things.

24. Why trash Hillary? She's being successful and that has to be, if anything, admired and applauded
Obama is my man and the only politician that has captured my young mind and heart (at naive as it my sound), but there is no point in bashing Hillary for her success.

We got to be gracious in victory and defeat, no matter how happy or heartbroken we might be. Stoicism in the middle of the pain of defeat is the only thing left for someone that has lost a battle.

29. I'm just tired of fighting. I can't convince people to support my candidate
That's his job, not mine. It is Obama's and Hillary's responsibility to make their points known and win hearts and minds. We supporters can only do that, show support by donating and making my choice public. Trashing other people's candidates won't do that, and that's what it's being done over here.

I'm hoping Obama will gain the confidence of the Democratic voters. At this point, he's managed to obtain a solid second place. Hillary has obviously been much more succesful on that task so far. What can I do? Not much but congratulate her and her supporters and hope things for my candidate will improve.

30. Mixed messages abound..
Truthfully, Katz, I'm a bit confused regarding Obama's actions relating to Republicans. I kind of understood his mentor relationship with Luger guiding Obama to the Senate and showing him the ropes. However, in light of the dismal performance over the last 7 yrs of a Republican controlled Congress, one would think here Obama is faced with an opportunity to show his strength as a high powered Democratic leader; instead he's welcoming Republican operatives into his camp.

I'm not a political historian but I don't ever remember anything like it where an opposition candidate is crossing political lines, asking for their advice and allowing his general counsel to personally get involved in high powered hot button issues? This strikes me as a very strange needing much clarification. I guess, it will all eventually come out...but for now it's just another layer of mystery surrounding Barak Obama. ....chilling!
