I make no judgement on a four star general, but the white house (in yet another display of political theatre) is getting its collective panties in a wad, in the form of tony snow. Senator Reid said he told someone that he thought the General was incompetent. Oh, the wailing from tony. Reid is just evil and out of line and on and on and on as only a fake patriot can.

So Reid tells others his opinion of a general in what might be considered a relatively private setting. bush on the other hand gives yet another four star general the fuck you, go retire treatment (as he did General Shinseki.)

So tony if Senator Reid is so far out of line, how come your boss is firing the General in question? (and replacing him with an Admiral, egads.)

2. missing the point
if they do not go all hell bent to support and protect Pace, people (thee and mois) will start questioning the reality of IraqNam.
ONce we start doing that, it is all over for Team Bush. They are hanging on by their fingernails now. If we start looking closely into their quagmire, Iran is gone, our grand plans for oil from IraqNam are gone. Bush is gone.

THEY HAVE to protect Pace; the alternatives are too horrific for them to imagine.

4. I'm just a skeptical, sarcastic sumbitch
WE have bush's number. I like poking the lurkers with reality. I look forward to see who attends Pace's retirement ceremony.
