Alito? No problem.

Roberts? Done.

The Union bill? Nope.

Immigration? This one's yours, Dems.
Stop the War? No way, Jose.

When the Dems should have been filibustering, there was that Gang of 14, arms folded across their chests, telling our guys to get fucked. Now that the GOP is said to be certain to filibuster (the Union bill), where's that stalwart band?

Hello? ::tap tap tap:: Is this thing on?

2. That is the one of the few differences between the 'Pugs and Dems
The 'Pugs still have a spine and the willingness to go balls to the wall in pursuit of their objectives. Not that I agree with their objectives, but one can't help but admire their spirit and wish that the Dems had a bit more of it. And frankly, it is due to matters like this that I think the Dems will lose big in '08. People are tired of not having a party that fights for them.

3. Fine. Make the MF'ers actually DO the filibuster.
Let them hold up the nation's business for day after day while Democrats criticize them in the media for 'obstructing an up or down vote'.

A real, honest-to-goodness filibuster is just what this country needs. Those pussy-assed Republicans could never carry it off anyway. They are still put off over having to work 4 day work weeks.

4. This is what I don't understand
they republicans did not have a 60 vote majority...how did they get their bills out of committee. The democrats were too damn soft. I think they are stupid as the devil to not slam and bam the republicans every chance they get.

Tell you one thing, they can't get a lot of bills passed or signed and if they dont' do something, proclaim to the country loud and strong that the republicans are more than obstructionsists.
