Possible CNN skakeup (It's not looking good for Paula)
It looks like Paula Zahn is getting the boot and Campbell Brown of NBC is going to replace her.

"While she was considered a big hire when CNN landed her in 2001, the ratings for her prime-time program have been modest in the face of intense competition.

She faces three opinionated talkers at 8 p.m.: Bill O'Reilly on Fox, Keith Olbermann on MSNBC, and Nancy Grace on CNN sister network Headline News.

In May, ratings for Zahn's program grew 6 percent among 25-to-54-year-olds, but she trailed all three of her rivals.

CNN has been patient with Zahn's show. Jon Klein, president of CNN/U.S., took his post in late 2004 and tried to boost the program's popularity. Most notably, he brought in a new producer.

Brown's possible move to CNN has been the buzz in the industry since early May. She has had a relatively low profile on NBC lately, though she was prominent in the past."

I'm not crying for her though, she reports on some of the most ridiculously absurd stories ever.

2. As if there's an ideological difference between Von Zahn and Brown
This is a desperation move, pure and simple. But hey ..... maybe Paula can partner with Connie Chung and do a Red Hot Mamas revival show.

4. Oh, goody! Campbell can follow Soledad right over the cliff at CNN.
She too left the comfort of Weekend Today at NBC.

Perhaps Paula Zahn can spend time thinking about her removal of the hawks nest from her co-op at 927 Fifth Ave. Good riddance to her too.

FLIP THE BIRD TO PAULA AND THE REST OF THOSE HOITY-TOITY RESIDENTS

    By ANDREA PEYSER
    NY Post Online
    December 10, 2004 --

A BIRD lover, who will go nameless to protect the wealthy, told me of a weird encounter with his neighbor, CNN newsblonde and committed fowl-foe Paula Zahn.

"My friend was telling her, 'You're so lucky to live in the same building where those hawks live,' " the bird fancier said. Her reaction was not what he expected.

"She said, 'Hawks? I don't know about hawks,' " the man said. "I was aware there was a bird problem here." And she walked off.

The man was perplexed. "I didn't think that the people here would think of the hawks as a problem, rather than something to be happy about."

But there it was yesterday in that clannish village with the massive net worth called Manhattan's Upper East Side.

While the rest of the city mourned, residents of one spectacularly snooty co-op at 927 Fifth Ave— where Zahn's hubby is president of the co-op board — angrily defended their evil decision to evict a pair of undesirable tenants just before Christmas — the red-tailed hawks Pale Male and Lola. ...

6. Well, her father was a Democratic politician
He was a State Senator and Secretary of State in Louisiana. He is (or at least was) in prison, though - for lying to the FBI about an investigation (link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_H._%22Jim%22_Brown)
