Fox News Channel brings to our attention an interview from this week in which NBC's Tim Russert reproaches Democratic candidates who try to pick and choose their TV venues. The host of Meet The Press seems to be criticizing Republicans as well.
Here's the exchange with Alan Colmes of the Hannity & Colmes show (you can also watch the clip on YouTube.com):
COLMES: Candidates of both parties should come on this show. They don't. Both Democrats don't want to go on with him; some Republicans don't want to come on with me. I think that's wrong. And I think Democrats make a mistake not allowing a debate to take place on the Fox News Channel.
RUSSERT: It's a TV show. If you can't handle TV questions, how are you going to stand up to Iran, and North Korea, and the rest of the world?
Russert's language is similar to something Fox chairman Roger Ailes said earlier this month -- a comment that caused some controversy.
Democrats are conflicted over whether to appear on Fox and reach a conservative audience, or stay away because they believe the network is biased against their party.
