that the office itself has been utterly debased by Bush, and Matthews insults the office with that remark.
However....Matthews said (just before my tv, in its inimitable slightly delayed fashion, switched the channel on me..
that GORE would tarnish the prize by running for pres...and then it switched.
I'll wait for a video replay if I can find one...but the attitude that a Nobel prize winner can then "tarnish" his prize himself..simply by running sounds like yet another crazy anti Gore talking point piece of garbage, being ginned up to attack him...just in case.
