Bill and Hill will campaign together in Iowa next month
CNN: June 18, 2007
Clintons to campaign in Iowa

WASHINGTON (CNN) — Former President Bill Clinton will join his wife Sen. Hillary Clinton on the campaign trail in Iowa early next month, CNN has learned.

The former president and first lady will spend July 2-4 in Iowa, a Clinton campaign spokesman told CNN Monday. The exact details of the schedule are still being finalized.

Though Clinton is ahead in most national polls, she is not faring as well in Iowa. A Des Moines Register poll late last month had the New York Democrat third in the Hawkeye State, behind former Sen. John Edwards, and Illinois Sen. Barack Obama.

4. If Hillary wins Iowa it's over, if Obama wins Iowa, Hillary has serious problems
If Edwards wins Iowa, then we've got ourselves a horse race. Obama will likely, and Hillary will certainly, have sufficient finances to compete in the February 5th ultra-Tuesday race. If the polls are close and both can compete, Iowa will likely put either one of them over the top.

If Edwards wins Iowa, the momentum may be a serious asset but he may not have the money to keep it going and compete in the ultra-Tuesday primary. I'd almost like to see Edwards win Iowa because then things will be very interesting.

Putting all his chips on Iowa and labor and sadly coming up short.
