"Addressing the U.S. Conference of Mayors in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 24, Congressman AND Democratic President candidate AND former big-city mayor Dennis Kucinich tells the leaders of the nation's cities that federal policies are hurting them, their progress, and their residents. It's time. Kucinich said, to "make the cities the heart of America."

1. I like what he has to say about leadership.
I also believe that real leaders take a stand when it counts, not after the fact. My words.

I also like what he is saying about solid programs to address violence, about creating opportunities, about revitalizing cities.

3. Yes. "Taking a stand when it counts, not after the fact."
I find it difficult to support those who say they made a mistake or were misled, especially when they did not take the time to read reports on vital issues.

And he realizes the importance of not trying to escalate the war language with Iran and wants the administration held accountable.

:bounce:

I made another contribution today and when I refreshed the page later the donation counter had jumped by $20,000, I guess they had just done an update lol.

2. OMG!
I just heard him talk about setting NCLB aside, the constant testing of young children, and actually investing in education!

I spoke to him about this issue 4 years ago. He said much the same, but that was privately, and not as strongly as he stated it here.

:applause:
