MyDD: Candidate Tracking (Jerome Armstrong)
Edited on Tue Jun-26-07 09:17 AM by Catchawave
This is verrrry interesting:

Time for another look at where the Democratic candidates are traveling (via the WaPost Campaign Tracker). It's way more interesting than the polls, because frankly, it's a direct view into their campaign strategy. Let's look at it through the early states (IA, NH, NV, SC, FL), including CA:

IA NH NV SC FL CA

Edwards 46 32 7 15 1 5
Obama 43 19 5 9 6 18
Clinton 28 22 6 11 4 9
Dodd 26 37 5 10 0 4
Richardson 13 27 22 8 1 31
Kucinich 4 22 5 2 8 21
Gravel 0 6 2 1 0 0
Biden 33 12 6 5 1 2

Also, in the Preview, the numbers are all smooshed together :(

Looks like larissa's dark horse poll is spot on :patriot:

2. So much for the myth that "Edwards has practically lived in Iowa"
Obama has almost as many visits (43 to JE's 46) to Iowa as Edwards...

3. This only covers from Jan 2007 on.
And does not cover Edwards residence in the state prior to that ;-)

4. How many trips did he make to Iowa from 05'-06' while living in NC?
Edited on Tue Jun-26-07 10:03 PM by draft_mario_cuomo
His time in Iowa has been exaggerated imo. People who make that argument also forget that Obama benefits from media market overlap in part of Iowa. He surely got more press in that section of Iowa than even Iowa's own senators from 2004-2006.
