Inside Politics CNN: coverage of Clark and Dean
Candy Crowley on

Clark got a fair amount of coverage so far. They talked about his attacks on Bush yesterday regarding Osama Bin Laden and the Iraq War. Also that Clark says Bush ignored warnings about Bin Laden before 911.

Dean still had most of the spotlight. Primarily talking about how he is being attacked by the Dems and standing his ground today.

One interesting thing was behind the scenes comments from the WH political advisors on Dean...how they are watching him and looking at the article in Post that talked about the theory that Bush new about 911 from Saudis, and the word they are using is..."reckless".

9. Hahahaaa! I love this...
"Dean, for instance, recently spoke of a "most interesting theory" that Saudi Arabia had "warned" Bush about the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. Although Dean said he does not believe Bush was tipped off about the assaults that killed nearly 3,000, he has made no apologies for raising the rumor.

****"How is what I did different from what Dick Cheney or George Bush . . . did during the time of the buildup of the invasion of Iraq?" the former Vermont governor said Tuesday night aboard his campaign plane. "There were all these theories that they mentioned. Many of them turned out not to be true. The difference is that I acknowledged that I did not believe the theory I was putting out."***

___

They call Dean's remarks 'mean spirited and misleading' - REALLY? I would say that George Bu$h's claiming SH had WMD and was an imminent threat and that's why we have to go occupy his country is "mean spirited and misleading".

Pretentious hypocrisy is the Hallmark of Republicans (and the whoring media who McPropogandize them). Jeeez.

I love Dean's comment above: "The difference is that I acknowledged that I did not believe the theory I was putting out"....hahaaa!

15. When Gore endorsed Dean, she basically told the other
Democrats to withdraw from the race, as I recall. She was only doing the bidding of her master, but it should end her credibility as a neutral analyst -- she's a Dean whore now, and they really need to advertise her as such. So you have a Republican pundit, and they badly want Dean to win, and Democratic pundit, who is a Dean whore, both analyzing the race. Now that's a full spectrum of views.

6. Yes, we all know Bush and Co think the truth is reckless.
Hell, their whole administration has been reckless.

Dean speaks the truth about 9-11 and gets RIPPED for it. Dean speaks the truth about America not being safer after Saddam's capture and gets ripped for it.

Yet the media will let Bush off with his LIES about his little war.

7. Exactly. Bush has gotten a free ride from the press & DC Dems.
His political fate depends on this continuing until after the 2004 elections.

Dean attacks Bush with reckless abandon. He gives Bush no quarter. He clearly and forcefully states what 40% of the nation has been thinking all along, but has been completely censored by the corporate media. Bush's house of cards cannot possibly withstand the onslaught.

13. What happened to yesterday's breaking news from the
9/11 commission? I saw or heard no reporting of Tom Kean's announcement that 9/11 should have been prevented and could have.

14. Wanna Talk Reckless?
How about invading and occupying a sovereign nation? That's what I call reckless.

Wouldn't Karl-boy have a heart attack to hear Dean get back in his face with that?
