2. Some people might suggest that discreetly hooking your sign up to an

electric fence energizer might be a tad more effective :evilgrin:

With a little creativity it could be done in such a way that nobody would even notice at first glance. For example, insulated lead wires, buried underneath the ground, can be located a long ways away from the energizer unit.
