Dennis Kucinich - Going to do well in Wisconsin
Watching the debate and talking with other Democrats, DK is going to rise out of the single digits in Wisconsin. I predict he will get 16% of the vote.

His message finally made it to Wisconsin democrats during last night's debate.

He was very moving. Despite only being allowed to speak less then 8 times. Compared to Kerry's 18 times.

The debates were hosted by WTMJ and The Milwaukee Journal Sentinal part of Journal Communications INC. One of the many "exceptions" to media ownership rules. They own WTMJ 620, Channel 4 and the only daily newpaper in the Milwaukee market. The questions were clearly steered by the moderator from WTMJ Channel 4 to ensure Kerry had the most time.

Despite that Dennis was able clearly and convincingly get his message out. He had the most applause of any of the candidates.

She's come back at least 15 times. I don't know why she was originally banned, but it has something to do with with I/P forum.

19. Can he get above the threshold for delegates?
I think you have to get over 15% in a congressional district to get delegates. That's the only thing that matters in the actual primary. I think he did get delegates from Maine and Washington and Illinois, didn't he? We need to get delegates to have a say at the convention, otherwise it's over. If he gets delegates from Wisconsin too, then he's doing okay.

3. i missed the debate
but i agree with you that DK can do well in WI.

too bad though, about the bias being shown in these debates.

DK is a trooper,he's in this for the long haul.
He continues to gather supporters and raise money, since DK is not taking corporate donations that's saying a lot.

9. somehow corporate money is making its way into the campaign
according to http://www.opensecrets.org

where there's a loop-hole, there's a way

The organizations themselves did not donate, rather the money came from the organization's PAC, its individual members or employees or owners, and those individuals' immediate families. Organization totals include subsidiaries and affiliates.

Because of contribution limits, organizations that bundle together many individual contributions are often among the top donors to presidential candidates. These contributions can come from the organization's members or employees (and their families). The organization may support one candidate, or hedge its bets by supporting multiple candidates. Groups with national networks of donors - like EMILY's List and Club for Growth - make for particularly big bundlers.

24. Not to forget all the corporate "bundlers" behind Kerry
Kerry - like Bush - has recruited an army of 'bundlers' who skip around strict campaign finance laws by gathering $2,000 cheques from friends and employees into bundles of $50,000 or $100,000. Kerry has 32 $100,000 bundlers and 87 $50,000 bundlers. They come mainly from powerful law firms, real estate companies, financiers and lobbyists.

Kerry has received more money from lobbyists over the past 15 years than any other serving senator. Some of Kerry's close links with lobbyists have raised eyebrows among supporters used to his campaign slogan: 'From the moment I take up office, I will stand up to special interests.'

<snip>

Between 1999 and 2002 Kerry sponsored two law bills and co-sponsored six more that were seen as advantageous to CTIA's interests. One of Kerry's main bundlers, Chris Putala, is employed as a lobbyist by the CTIA. 'We are beyond the point of whether he takes money from special interests, but rather what, if anything, has been done in response to the funds,' said Steve Weiss, spokesman for the Centre for Responsive Politics watchdog.

Kerry and his wife are also personally linked to the fortunes of the telecommunications industry. Official records show the couple have at least $17 million invested in firms with a stake in the industry. Tracing the actual effect that donations have on politicians' decisions is virtually impossible. A Kerry spokesman has denied Kerry has ever acted in response to donations.

But Paul Davis, co-founder of internet firm Predictive Networks, has seen the process of how fundraising and legislation mix. Kerry met a top Predictive executive on 25 July, 2000. A day later Kerry introduced a Senate bill that would allow internet firms to monitor what their consumers were viewing and that Predictive had been lobbying for. In February 2002 Predictive chief executive Devin Hosea threw a fundraiser for Kerry in Boston. Kerry was given a lift back to Washington DC in a private jet. Hosea threw a second fundraising party that summer. In the end Hosea become one of Kerry's $100,000 'bundlers' .

14. You should know by now debate response means squat
He's done this well all along. How could he not? He's speaking plain truth where others mumble and fidget.

The problem is most of those clapping and nodding their heads have been sold the 'electability' myth.

Anyone of these candidates should beat the slop out of Bush. If it weren't for the race issue, Sharpton would even beat him.

Plus, I am sensing that this steroid issues is becoming another code word in the race lexicon. Anybody else?

31. only problem is
Debate was hosted at college campus in probably the most liberal city in Wisconsin. How do the small audience reactions project what will occur in other districts, such as Green Bay, Madison, etc. Besides, DK has to contend with Edwards getting endoresements from two of Wisconsin's largest papers (Milwaulkee Sentinel--who hosted debate--and Madison paper.)

THIS was in response to the debate. Although I agree that DK will get numbers a bit closer to his WA and ME finishes.
