I had the chance to be up close, seated a table left of Senator Clinton....She gave her speech without notes too! You will feel the power and know the difference in candidates after this day forward.

I can't wait to do it again! I wish I was YOU! Here is a DU link to the Ohio Event. Scroll down for pictures.

7. I'll be sure to get pictures.
The place is pretty small and I can't imagine where the VIP thing is going to be.

I KNOW I'll get to shake her hand. Hell, I stood on the stage with Dianne Feinstien when she won the 1992 Sen nomination. I can be a bit ..... pushy at times.

4. That's so exciting! You may get to get up close, even without the VIP tix
a friend of my mom's was at one of Hillary's fundraisers a few weeks ago - he figured he wouldn't get to meet her or anything, since he had one of the cheaper tickets. However, after Hillary finished speaking, she walked pretty much right over to him and they chatted for a few seconds. Of course, he says he was so overwhelmed that he could hardly get two words out, but he was so excited afterwards that he sent an e-mail our to all of his friends telling them how wonderful Hillary is!

But have lots of fun - I'm so jealous! We expect a full report after the event. :)

8. Same thing happened to me in 1988.
I went to a Dukakis rally and was very outgoing and cheering a lot. Then-Congresswoman Barbara Boxer pointed me out to Dukakis (she told me this later) and said "you should go talk to him".

That was so cool!

I've always wanted to meet her. I've seen Bill twice .... both times in the limo, but not up close.

I plan on calling my mom on the phone while Hillary is speaking. My mom & step dad are HUGE supporters of Hillary.

13. Hillary is actually kind of cool that way
I am not a supporter of any candidate so far, and make no
secret of it, but even so, she has no problem hanging with
people if she wants to.

And if she will hang with people who are as yet undecided,
you can bet she'll enjoy herself more with those who are
already committed to her. She's just likeable, as is Obama,
and probably a number of the other Dem candidates (I haven't
yet met the rest of them personally). Obama is very much to
dynamic rock-star type you see when he gives prepared speeches.
Hillary is different. She is a LOT more fun in a small group.
She is not as good with a crowd, and I don't think she ever will
be. Bill Clinton lives to be on stage, and shines when speaking
to a crowd. If he teaches Hillary to be as good, she could
turn against health care, join the NRA, and call for a doubling
of the surge, and she would still win in a walk, but it ain't
gonna happen. If she wants to win this, I don't care how far ahead
she is in any poll up to now--she'll have to work for it.

14. I've got a week to wait!!
It will also be interesting how they handle security and the press. I just hope Paris Hilton doesn't show up!

18. I'm sure there will be metal detectors and stuff.
I hope I get patted down by a HOT SS agent!

19. It usually works like this
There will probably be metal detectors, and then there is
a core of SS agents that surround the candidate. These are
the most obvious ones, and are the ones that will make personal
contact difficult. They get understandably nervous when there
is a crunch, and there is always a crunch. Then there are the
ones scattered around, less obvious, but no great effort made
to disguise them either. They'll have the earpieces and the
short haircuts, and will pretty much look the part. They won't
be intrusive, they only get active if there is an indication of
trouble, and there usually isn't. This is the "just-in-case"
squad.

That's basically it, so have a great time, and if you don't get
patted down by a hot agent, don't say I didn't warn you! If you
really want that, put on a checkered keffiyeh or something.
