The more Hillary and Obama fight , the more likely Gore gets in
IMHO. Here's my reasoning. I could be wrong. But the fight is more real than perceived from the twisted perspective of the MSM. That it's being covered is what matters. It's free negative advertising for the GOP. Hillary and Obama damge each other, much like what happend to the dems running for Gov. in CA against Arnold. The end result is not good. Nonetheless, you think Gore is not watching? I don't think he'll wait around to see if Edwards (who can beat all GOPers) somehow makes strides at the 11th hour. (It's not a certainty, although much more likely than the MSM will admit). And Gore won't stomach another GOP win. So if this HilO bickering keeps up, I think Gore gets in. He might say that neither of the candidates are making global warming the necessary priority blah blah. But it's really other, equally ominous conditions that will dictate his entry.

1. I'm with you -- he's the adult separating the fighting kids
I hate to see our candidates bloodying each other but if it leads us to President Gore, it's OK by me.

3. Agreed. I predicted this all along. Gore smells like roses after all the fighting.
I predicted back in 2006 that Hillary and Obama would bloody and beat each other to a stalemate, while Gore looks so good that as soon as he announces a run, the nomination is practically his.

4. I said basically the same thing earlier today...
He will save a hell of a lot of money by not entering the race...

Until the very end.

Smart, really. Let the other candidates beat each other up, get all the nastiness out of the way... then waltz in like a knight in shining armour and walk away with the prize!

That's how it works out in my fantasy anyway.

5. I like our candidates. But I fear Gore is the only one who has sufficient stature
to turn this country around.

9. Whatever. This thread is just another way to attack Obama and Hillary.
Well, what about Edwards, Dodd, Biden, and Kucinich? They have been attacking just as much as Hillary and Obama. It's the media (whom you obviously believe) that are pushing the Hillary/Obama fued.

11. LOL! Such bullshit. If he had the guts to get in, he'd get his beating too.
He's not an "adult" among fighting kids. He's pretty much not ANYBODY in terms of the race right now.

12. Compared to California, this is nothing.
In California, they were blanketing the tv with negative attack ads. It was also personal. I don't think Obama and Clinton have come close to that.

The democratic primary voters chose the weakest possible candidate. That's why we lost badly to Arnold in my opinion.

14. I think you are right on...Goer and Edwards
I think Gore will get in the race, if this bickering goes on much longer, I think he is waiting to see what happens when Oabama start to drop, which he will sooner or later. Inexperience is going to get him, after the mess we have had with Bush, I think the nation is going to put a man in office with a high I.Q. and a level head, and experience.

I don't think he's going to sweat a couple democratic candidates taking shots at each other.

17. I wish Gore would run, but if he does, I expect great support for him
from all of you. He is the man to save the country and the world. I doubt he will run against Hill; if he does, however, he must not be swiftboated. Anyone who tries must be squashed like a bug. Are you ready to put up if need be? If not, do not encourage Al to run.

22. The former Vice President and winner of 2000 Presidential election
Who has grown in stature since then, is the leader in publicizing the horrors our world faces due to global warming and has been smart enough to mobilize the youth vote in a non-political way, or a less-than-half-term Senator?

I'll take the former, minus your snide, smug attitude.

20. If it will get Gore in the race, then:
NAKED CAGE MATCH!!!

Clinton vs. Obama

Throw in a hundred starving rats, a porcupine, and 10 angry chiuauas to keep it interesting!

All in the interest of getting GORE in the race, of course! :)

24. I think so
I'm already sick to death of the posturing and bashing going on among the candidates. When they with the help of the media are done clobbering themselves senseless Al can waltz in unscathed. Yeah, I know the media will clobber him too but they'll clobber whoever is the frontrunner at primary time. I think he's prepared for the attacks. It could be wishful thinking on my part as well but I'm keeping my powder dry for Al.
