Almost nobody has made a decision yet, so the polls will fluctuate wildly. This is why Dean lost a 30% lead in one month.

(Although, judging from the fundraising, those who have decided are going more to Obama.

2. Polls are NOT meaningless

And I'm not just saying that at a Hillary supporter. Polls tend to shape public opinion, and they cause candidates to do things they wouldn't normally do. Hillary has played it safe because she has a comfortable lead. If she were to drop behind Obama, you would see a shift in the way that she is running her campaign.
