Ponzi schemes, this felon is just an "old friend", not a policy adviser, that pollster used to work for Gingrich, this pollster is suspected of manipulating polls to steer foreign elections when he wasn't union busting. At what point does Ms. CLinton bear responsibility for the company she keeps?

3. A pollster used to work with Gingrich, and it's Clinton's responsibility?
Jeezus.

5. I don't know, I think pollsters have to be honest, but I think the
notion of pollsters and campaign operatives being hired guns willing to work for whoever has the most money has damaged our electoral system.

6. I think there are too many generalizations and assumptions for that to
be meaningful.

I mean, what's the alternative? Everyone who works for a campaign is a volunteer? They do it because they believe that this is the candidate they've been waiting for?
Pollsters have to publish polls in which each candidate wins?

8. Which illustrates my point.
We keep hearing about people with complicated or fraudulent histories bundling money for or advising the Clinton campaign. WHat's worse, Mark Penn* is advising her on future Middle East policy, not just campaign tactics. I expect every person in public life to pick up some baggage. Even RFK felt that he had to go to Joe McCarthy's funeral. But how many dubious personalities can a person collect before we can call it a pattern?
