Say something nice about a candidate who isn't your first choice thread.
Edited on Mon Oct-15-07 12:54 AM by calteacherguy
I'll start by saying something nice about my 2nd choice candidate:

I like the way Obama is framing environnmental issues using religion. Jesus was a progressive, after all. "Keepers of the Earth," and all that. I hope it helps gain more universal support for the environmental movement, and efforts to slow down global warming.

O.K....who's next?

2. my last choice candidates:
We need a few elected officials like Dennis Kucinich on both wings of the party to keep the it from ossifying.

Mike Gravel did a good deal of work for Alaska and shouldn't have waited so long to get involved again.

3. Why should I do that?
I'm fighting enough for my near at the bottom candidate. Energy counts. I don't have that much.

11. Chris Dodd really has a good head of hair...
Actually, I was able to meet and talk with Sen Dodd back in 1995...

He was the key note speaker for the Cuyahoga County Democratic Party's annual fundraiser...

Very nice man who articulated his positions with passion and grace...

15. Barack Obama made the best speech of the whole campaign up until now.
I mean his October 2nd speech on foreign policy "A New Beginning".

You can read it here: www.barackobama.com/speeches

PS - My first choice is still Al Gore B-)

16. Biden is one hell of a campaigner
I don't care how he got here, or what he's done in Delaware to stay in office so long.
He stands tall on the playing field today, He's got the skills and he's tough as nails.

He hits me hard every time I hear him speak, I like the guy.I'm glad he's in the race.
I like the direction he pushes the discourse.

19. Obama/Edwards aren't as obsessively negative about Clinton as their DU supporters
But to be fair, I did read a few posts by Obama/Edwards supporters last week that didn't even mention Clinton at all.

since RFK.

Two of those aren't my first choice, but I haven't figured out which two.
