Amway's War on Bloggers (SLAPP Lawsuits)
The business cult and ATM for the GOP can dish it out but they can't take it. Details here: http://scoobiedavis.blogspot.com/

Also, check out the anti-Amway blog: http://destroyamway.blogspot.com/

1. If you are plagued by persistent bible thumpers
who won't take "NO!" for an answer, invite them in and try to sell them Amway.

A friend of mine says it works every time. They leave you alone for MONTHS.

4. This woman at my work used to push that stuff.
I was drinking an energy drink in the break room and she was like "you drink energy drinks?" The next day she brought a can of that Xs energy drink that Amway sells and gives it to me for free; I figured it out pretty quickly because I used to live in Grand Rapids near the headquarters. (Curiously, very few people in the area who are very familiar with Amway are involved as "IBO"s from what I can tell.) I accepted it but told her I didn't like it! She did the same like a year or so later with an energy bar; same deal: thanks but I don't want to buy one, lol!

I think she might still be involved in it, because she talks on the phone and uses instant messaging a lot, so I think she's communicating with other Amway people. Kind-of a flimsy accusation, but I guess I think that way because this woman I used to work for a long time ago was also involved in it, and was talking to people about it on the phone at work and she was a consultant billing hourly!

5. Also, here's a funny video I saw a while ago about Amway motivational materials.

I guess peoples' entire collections of tapes and books end up on eBay after they get disillusioned; someone made a slideshow of pictures of these collections:

It's pretty long and monotonous, but I thought it was funny.

In the comments you can see the typical online debate against people who know about the difficulties with the business model and those who are busy trying to deny them with arguments about "hard work".

6. All I know is that Amway causes a lot of divorces. I know of two personally.
They're about more than the GOP; they're about wrecking families.

7. I heard of a childrens' book for children of Amway IBO's.
I haven't read it, but it's called Just Wait 'Til We're Diamond, ("diamond" being some high rank of Amway accomplishment for people not familiar with it), and it teaches children to be patient while their parents drag them to seminars because some day they are going to get to stand on the stage with their parents and be rich.
