Why Senator Clinton?
We ask Clinton why she voted for an amendment that could be used as support for attacking Iran

2007-10-15

On September 26th, Senator Clinton voted for the Kyl-Lieberman Amendment, which designates the Iranian Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization. She was the only Democratic Presidential candidate who voted for the resolution.

"This isn't our present policy of keeping the military option on the table. It is, for all practical purposes, mandating the military option"

-Senator Jim Webb

2. Maybe Congress should just do nothing
After all, * might use something they do as an excuse to go to war. After all, if he can take a non-binding resolution that actually removed all language about military action against Iran and emphasized diplomacy and say that it's an excuse to go to war, then * can take anything and say anything about it.

He can take the resolution about the Armenian genocide and use that to start a war. Maybe Congress should have just STFU. And just think what * could do with the minimum wage bill!

Did you ever consider the possibility that *, with his abysmally low ratings, would have a harder time lying about war than he did in 2002 when his popularity was high and he didn't yet have a record of lying about war?

Have you considered the possibility that it might be harder to use a non-binding resolution than it was to use a binding resolution?

3. Maybe you don't get it.
Congress has decided that Iran's Revolutionary Guard is a terrorist organization. That means nothing else now is necessary but for Bush to say when.

Her vote helped do that.

There is no spinning out from under that.
