if Kerry wins will Delay and Frist control him for 4 years?

We know that Kerry casts votes for political expedience. In another thread, this was the explanation for his "yes" vote on IWR. Kerry also voted for the Patriot Act, didn't vote against the medicare bill and has not ruled out supporting an amendment banning gay marriage.

If he votes this way because he is worried about being called a liberal, how do we know he won't continue to do that for four years, worried about his own reelection? How do we know he won't sign RW legislation becuase Delay and Frist tell him "it's popular" or "the swing voters approve" ?

6. I question this.

I started a thread a few months ago asking the community if they would change their vote if Kerry apologized for the IWR. The answer was overwhelmingly no. I suspect people just want Kerry to grab his ankles on an issue or two to soften him up for whatever candidate.

battlelines are manned by champions and clans. Kerry is the champion for his clan and will be leading the main assault. You may want the Dean supporters in that group but we don't respond well to Kerry's style. Dean supporters will be in the battle, just not side-by-side with Kerry. There are many skirmishes to be fought to win the day. And when the sun does set and we count our numbers and patch our wounds we will stand side-by-side with the Kerry clan and swear our oaths of fealty as Democrats, and then depart.

Our enemy is common to us, but our methods and sidegoals are different.

5. Simple Answer: Take Back The Senate and No Problem

Delay was, is, and will run things in the House no matter if Bob Graham, Carol Moseley-Braun, Joe Lieberman, Wes Clark, Howard Dean, Al Sharpton, Dennis Kucinich, John Edwards, or John Kerry would have been or are elected President. We can cut into his control in the House, but unless we beat him in the election (in which case we'll get a slightly less evil CONservative), the Republicans have too big an advantage to overcome. So that's a moot point in my opinion.

We can take back the Senate. Take back the Senate and you don't have to worry about this question.
