For all those saying "I don't understand why Biden isn't higher in the polls"...
The answer is money. It's always the money, and it always makes my blood boil.

BUT - He has just now decided to accept public campaign financing matching funds. If I give a dollar, the fund matches a dollar. I'm thrilled because now my TEENY contributions will only be half as teeny!

If you'd like to see him do better, and are inclined to throw a few bucks his way (which will double!), please go to

www.joebiden.com

And I know I speak for other Bidenites when I say if you can't give at this time, your support is just as deeply appreciated, and thank you for your support.

:hi:

6. I was just checking out his website, and have to say that
no one can give the excuse that he doesn't present a thorough, comprehensive view on practically any issue that is of importance to any voter. He's clearly making it harder for me to NOT caucus for him on January 3rd!

YES, I know all of our candidates will completely have the advantage on the issues against any of the Repuke candidates, but I have to believe that Biden would deliver the ass-kicking in the most entertaining way!

They do not want a viable Democratic candidate. Check http://downwithtyranny.blogspot.com/2007/10/how-media-warped-primaries.html this out.

12. That and the fact he performed poorly on the Sunday talk shows
as a "Democrat" for years. Its the reason I'm not supporting him. He seemed to think his support of Junior was a "good" thing. I don't support Junior, so I don't support Biden.

13. "Performed poorly on the SUnday talk shows"?????
What are yo talking about? He is one of the most effective dems in that respect (and not only). As to supporting Junior... that leaves me completely perplexed.

21. I think he performed poorly because he *ALWAYS* criticizes the Dems.
It made for "Republican" and "Republican Lite" as far as I was concerned. He would cut down Kerry during the 2004 presidential bid, acted like the Swiftboat folks should be treated as if they actually were saying something worth listening to (!), and kept doing this "on the other hand" thing that was driving me crazy -- yes, the "other side" may have some points, but in the LIMITED amount of time you've got to present YOUR point, talk about YOUR point, and let the other guy waste his time defending against your valid points. I consider him to be ineffective because I watched him do it so often, I quit watching ANY of the Sunday morning shows because NO ONE (including Biden) actually represented a Democratic position effectively.

That's my opinion, and it took YEARS to get there. I could see him as a Veep, but not as a CinC. Besides, he's proven that the office of Senator is unable to perform a "check and balance" thing, so I don't want him (or any other sitting Senator for that matter) in that office.

I'm not really happy with any of my choices. Sigh.

14. I never felt he performed poorly
Joe Biden is one a few people that would get me to watch Fox Sunday. He handles Chris Wallace like no one else.

I think he is excellent on the Sunday programs.

Edited on Sat Nov-17-07 12:20 PM by demommom
He tried to work with "junior",however he came to realize that was impossible. It is the job of all legislators to try to work together.
Another reason he would be an excellent president. We might actually accomplish some good things.Support who you want, but get the facts right.

As for Sunday talk shows, because he did not say what you would like ,it does not mean he performed "poorly";just the opposite, I have never seen him do poorly on a Sunday talk show.
