I wanted Gore to jump in, but gave up on him long ago.
My top two have always been Biden and Clinton... very much in that order. Clinton makes me sick, but I respect her as a politician. I believe she has the best chance of not self-destructing. But when someone posted a thread asking for our top three I realized I don't have a top three. (I think I put Dodd, as a harmless choice. I don't mind Dodd.)
My problem has been that I really dislike Edwards... like a LOT. I thought Kerry punted the election the day he picked him. Can't look at him. Unfortunately, Richardson is out of the question because, though I know he's a talented man, he is about the worst national politician I've ever seen. So I figured Obama was my tentative third. Seemed a nice enough fellow. But then over a couple of months I came to dislike Obama with some vehemence. I came to feel for Obama what I can only assume some DUers feel for Hillary. So, I now sincerely dislike the whole top-tier. Ugh.
Tonight, watching Edwards on Olbermann, it hit me that my metaphysical disgust for Edwards has been reduced to mere strong distaste. So he's my third, even though I can't stand him.
So my top three is Biden and two people I can't watch on TV without making a face. Ah, democracy!
But I know that any one of them will seem like heroes to me by the time we get to debate time in the general election.
