2. Goodness, that child looks naïve, irresponsible AND overly ambitious to me!
And I suspect he is giving money from his piggy bank to buy gum for his friends in kindergarden. Isn't that against the rules?

15. Also, no helmet while smiling at someone... he's clearly a reckless believer in personal diplomacy
Edited on Mon Dec-03-07 12:56 AM by ClarkUSA
It's all right there for Hillary's oppo-research team to send to Mark Penn for focus-grouping. Damn, are YOU the Democratic operative who told
Bob Novak about the Clintonian whispering campaign, BG? Is THIS the picture they were passing around, along with the incriminating kindergarten
essay? Answer me, dammit! ;-)

18. He is clearly too inexperienced to ride that tricycle. Why did he even think he could handle it?
Edited on Mon Dec-03-07 01:08 AM by ClarkUSA
He had a lot of years to go before he should've even tried to ride with an older, more experienced crowd. Clearly, this is another early
sign of how overly ambitious Obama was from an early age. The evidence is quite damning.

But look at how clean and articulate he looks for a five year old! How amazing that is!

27. I am shocked that these attacks are so transparent
The attacks on character, which is an Obama strength is so obviously Rovian. The attack on his PAC reminds me of the 2006 "Hey John" attack that mysteriously appeared from a new blog and immediately was linked to by many inside the beltway blogs. Both attack the credible and praiseworthy attempts to fund promising lower level Democratic candidates.

I wonder if there is any concern that she could - especially if the negative campaigning destroys her opponent - become too unlikable to win in the general election. (against anyone but Guilliani who is more unlikable.)

28. Likeability (or lack thereof) was already a concern
Her whole narrative was based on experience, ready to lead from Day 1, etc. Wasn't catching on. This is Plan B. She needs to catch Obama on something of substance if the attacks are going to work. Kerry caught Dean in Iowa for a lot of reasons, as you know, but there was a real policy argument (among others) on Dean's refusal to rule out tax hikes for the middle class that added urgency and legitimacy to his overall critique. She's in trouble if she doesn't find something like that.

29. Nice analysis
Kerry also was able through face to face meetings impress people in Iowa. The Rassman event a few days before the caucus had to help as the last image of the candidate. What better image than a strong man who wouldn't leave anyone behind - even if he had to risk his young life. Few, if any, candidates have anything like that in their biography to use.

I've been a teacher for many years, and I can tell you that "I Want to Become President" essays are about as common as "What I Did on My Summer Vacation" compositions.

along with a copy of the Bible, and sacred texts of Buddhism and Hinduism. Familiarity with the Talmud is good too.

Religion is one factor that influences other cultures. Understanding world religions is a plus not a minus - and in many areas including the unstable middle east and near east.

I'm making as many references as possible to the whole "Obama attended a Madrassa" controversy earlier this year because these attacks are about on that level.
