I watched American Dad last night completely by mistake...
It was an episode about the "dad" kidnapping a baby girl who was going to be adopted by a gay couple...

"Dad" was hell bent on making it to Nebraska so that he could put the baby in an orphanage...

Along the way, "dad" managed to gather up a couple of kids adopted by a lesbian couple...

It was similar in humor to Family Guy, you know, gutter and funny as hell...

But the thing is this show is on Fox...

That's right, and about 3.1 million people watched this cartoon odyssey last night...

I just checked the ratings on Billy O and his top ratings are about 2.3 million...

So a cartoon conservative "dad" is vilified weekly on the Fox Network while Billy boy blathers on to the same people, somewhere between 1.9 and 2.4 million, night after boring night...

What does that tell us...

Well, perhaps we are too far into the political and overstate the effect Billy boy and his cadre of complaining conservatives actually have on the agenda...

Just a point...

BTW, I wonder if Brent Bozell ever goes after the Fox Networ...

When you look at it, Murdoch has the best of both worlds...

1. Sell to everybody.
And then profit from each side being mad at the other.

Ha ha! Simpsons made fun of Fox News!

Fox News rails against indecency on TV.

Rinse.
Repeat.

It's about advertising dollars. Coulter says stuff to make people watch and that gets ratings which = $. Family Guy will make fun of it and people watch = ratings = $.

Bottom Line = $$.

2. Fox "entertainment" and "Faux news" are 2 completely different entities.
the Simpson has made fun of Bushco plenty and so has family guy, American Dad-the whole premise of it is almost all about making fun of the 29 percenters, it's just more in your face and funny as hell.

3. Hell, the Simpsons routinely bash FOX itself...
My wife and I watched a couple of episodes last weekend and couldn't believe how blatant it is. They even compared FOX News with their entertainment channel. It's almost as though FOX has two different personalities. I mean, two of their most watchable dramas are Bones and House, both of which feature atheist lead characters.

5. that sounds like a typical episode
uber right winger acts on stereotypes and screws everything up, then manages to make things somewhat not as screwed up, but not as good as the original circumstance. it can sometimes be somewhat funny, nowhere near as smart as the simpsons.
