John Edwards reminds me of RFK, and Barack Obama reminds me of JFK.
Edited on Wed Dec-05-07 10:56 PM by Kerry2008
And together, I think they'd make a powerful team.

Anyone else pulling for an Edwards/Obama ticket?!?

May one of these two WIN Iowa, and go onto be the nominee.

GOBAMA!! GO EDWARDS!!

:)

Edit: Bobby Kennedy is my personal idol, and by god...John Edwards reminds me a lot like him.

I'm glad he endorsed a candidate. Good for him.

24. Apparently RFK Jr. does not agree with you...

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Endorses Clinton

The Clinton Campaign today announced the endorsement of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

"Hillary Clinton has the strength and experience to bring the war in Iraq to an end and reverse the potentially devastating effects of global warming," Kennedy said. "I watched proudly as Hillary won over New Yorkers across the state in her race for the Senate seat my father once held. Since then, she’s been reelected in a landslide victory and proven that she is ready to lead this nation from her first day in office. Hillary will inspire the real change America needs."

"Bobby has worked tirelessly to protect our environment and raise awareness about the dangers of global warming and pollution,” Clinton said. "I’m deeply honored to have his support and counsel."

Kennedy serves as Chief Prosecuting Attorney for the Hudson Riverkeeper and President of Waterkeeper Alliance. He is also a Clinical Professor and Supervising Attorney at Pace University School of Law’s Environmental Litigation Clinic and is co-host of Ring of Fire on Air America Radio. Earlier in his career he served as Assistant District Attorney in New York City.

In recognition of his environmental efforts, Time Magazine named him one of its "Heroes for the Planet" for his success leading the fight to restore the Hudson River.

Ethel Kennedy - widow of Senator Bobby Kennedy

"I think he feels it. He feels it just like Bobby did," Ethel Kennedy said, comparing her late husband's quest for social justice to Obama's. "He has the passion in his heart. He's not selling you. It's just him." Ethel Kennedy invited Obama to deliver the keynote address at a ceremony commemorating the 80th birthday of Robert F. Kennedy. She said she had carefully followed the career of the Illinois senator, whom she referred to as "our next president."

Both of these candidates do that. It's funny that some of the partisans who think you've somehow defiled the memory of the Kennedy's ignore the fact that people who were once close to JFK, like Ted Sorenson and Harris Wofford, are enthusiastic supporters of Obama. But what do people who knew, loved and worked with JFK know?

Here's what Wofford had to say today:

==Before presenting his proposals calling for a renewed commitment to national service, Mr. Obama was endorsed by Harris Wofford, a former senator from Pennsylvania who helped form the Peace Corps during his time in the Kennedy administration. As he introduced Mr. Obama to the crowd, Mr. Wofford said he had not felt as inspired “since the days of John Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King.”

“Barack Obama has picked up the torch that they lit,” Mr. Wofford said.==

RFK ran the dirty tricks department of the Clan (on edit: want to make sure people understand this is the Kennedy Clan, not the Klan) while Attorney General and only later became the crusader of the family. He was the one with links to the Mob once Joe Jr. died in the War.

JFK was addicted to multiple pain killers to handle his Addison's Disease and perpetual back problems, but had no problem carrying on multiple affairs while in the Senate and White House. He also signed off on an invasion of Cuba and then denied it, causing the deaths of thousands and got the US involved in yet another land war in Asia.

what did I miss?

(oh, and before you get all hissy-fit on me for not 'respecting' you should understand my family knew both Jack and Bobby very well (my grandfather knew Jack from childhood from sailing regattas in Hyannis, went to elementary, high school and college with him, so I have heard plenty of stories.

Bill Clinton , was similar to FDR. they both felt for the middle and lower classes. Just hope we find such a man in 2008.

75. More like JFK
Bobby Kennedy was more ruthless than Edwards, on the other hand JFK, was a kind man could get along with people better than Bobby...Edwards is a kind person, and ruthless is something he is not.

81. Disagreed. Edwards needs a stronger VP
