Who has read "The 2% Solution" by Matthew Miller?

I know it's a few years old but I am just getting around to reading it. He seems to call for compromise from both Democrats and Republicans (altho he is a Democrat) and faults both parties for our stalemates on SS, Medicare, Education, Health Care, etc.

I'm interested in hearing what other DUers have to say about this book. Has there been any refutation of his thesis?
