I think the Bushies want to lose the 2008 presidential election.

I feel like the Bushies are looking to lose this election. That's why they're pushing left leaning nobody's like Romney and Guiliani. I think they want to lose 2008 and run Jeb in 2012. If a guy like Huckabee runs and wins, they'll be out of the white house until at least 2016. I also think they might want to run Jeb for VP. Romney and Guiliani would be more willing to select him than Huckabee.

Anyway, that's my conspiracy theory for the day. What do you think?

As if Huckabee isn't trying to ingratiate himself with anyone who will pay attention to him--he would LOOOVE the Bushies' support, if he could get it. Huck's proven that he'll jump to the RW master's call when he set Dumond free at the sound of the Freeper dog-whistle--he'll do anything to get people to like him. He'll no sooner prosecute the Bush family than I will vote Republican in 2008. I do have doubts that he'll be able to overcome that. It depends on if he can galvanize evangelicals. There was something posted last week saying that Falwell's son likes him. His support has skyrocketed since then. I don't attribute one directly to the other, but it helps.

I think another part of the reason that he's taking off is that the other candidates are just terrible. As for you, you've got a track record of being wrong on Huckabee, so I don't think you're one to judge.
