Interesting tidbit from Red America

My stepfather is a hard-core, right-wing Rethug who retired to Arkansas. He's a 2 1/2 term Vietnam Vet, and tends to parrot all the O'Reilly and Hannity anti-liberal rhetoric. (I try, as an ODS Vet, to talk some sense into him, with very limited results...)

The odd bit is, on individual issues, he tends to agree with me most of the time. In reality, he's a progressive and doesn't know it.

But here's the shocking part: he's so fed up with the current bunch in power that he said to me the other day that he'd vote for Obama if he got the Dem nomination! Something big is happening folks...

so easy to them that, inspired by the POS in the White House, they will say anything if it serves their ends.

My Mother-in-Law has also made the "I ain't a racist cause I'm considering voting for Obama" speech.

It is more likely that the disappointment expressed is because there are a couple of things that Georgie has done that are not fascist enough for the true believers. After drinking so long out of the right-wing thermos, they can never be believed. Best to simply ignore and not waste your time.
