Biden, Hillary, Obama, Edwards, Campaigns, and The Home Depot.....
I posted this to a reply, but it's really the way I feel about how Joe is running his campaign, so I wanted to post it as a topic too;

Here's a comparison for you. The difference in the kind of campagin Joe is running, and the ones the others are running, is like a shopping trip to the local hardware store. Hillary, Obama, and possibly Edwards, "shopping trips", can be likened to walking into The Home Depot, and wandering around aimlessly, looking for something, and never finding it. Usually, it's another customer who tells you where it is, not someone working there.

Joe's is like going to the local Ace Hardware store, in that, as soon as you come through the door, someone greets you, and helps you find just what you are looking for, and even helps to educate you on how to work with said product.

I don't know about anyone else, but I am really sick of "big box retailers". I much prefer the one-on one approach.

Oh, and in the event someone wants to challenge me on the HD reference, don't even bother. I was a DM for a company who's largest client was The Home Depot. I was involved daily with The Home Depot, for 10 years, and have been in HUNDREDS of Home Depot's across this country. They're all run the same.

1. I've discovered
the employees at the local home depot to be very friendly but I seldom need assistance. On the other hand, the Ace Hardware place makes me feel like a prospective shop lifter. Constant hovering. I'm supposed to get what I came for and leave. No telling how many impulse buys have been missed by someone just meandering around. I seldom go to Ace except to refill our propane tank.

I will wholeheartedly support whomever the Dems nominate. My state's (Mississippi) primary is irrelevant.

2. I hate stores where people greet me and push stuff on me - I like to find what I want
I usually dart out when shopkeepers intrude on me.
Also, pick my candidates based on their record - Biden also falls short.

So, here we have 2 DK supporters, who both hate "sevice", yet, they expect us to like the "service" their candidate is offering, LOL..........

7. Actually, I am not a committed anyone's supporter - if you imply bias
I vote agendas rather than personalities. I don't have a candidate per se.
But I know that I will not vote for an IWR supporter - it's a "service" I could do without (the list for your candidate is longer and more complex, but I don't have the time to expound). I don't "want" you to vote for DK - I am just dismayed that you ignore candidates' records (but you are in a majority here, on DU)

9. I'm not ignoring anything...
I just got over it, as others should do. There are much bigger fish to fry right now. Call it, forgiveness. Not forget, forgive.

12. "Get over it"??? Those sweet words RW-ers were throwing at us after the 2000 theft!

Thanks for the memories...People are still dying in that war your darling Ace Hardware store manager helped start. Until they bring up the dead - there's no getting over it (same as the stolen election)- especially as it indicates the kid of judgment I expect from those candidates in the future.
But your use of my favorite words in the English language is very illuminating as to who Biden's base is. it explains justification of a lot of inexcusable statements too. Thank you for that.

It didn't matter WHO voted for the IWR, which, by the way, WAS IN NO WAY, an authorization TO GO TO WAR. Even if not a SINGLE living soul IN CONGRESS would have voted for it, BUSH would have STILL gone in.

Sheese.............some people.

4. I agree and isn't it refreshing.

Don't you feel you are getting the inside dope when you listen to Joe? I much prefer a person who speaks their mind without the fear of saying something wrong or politically incorrect. We are at a point in time when all of the candidates should start calling a spade a spade and discuss how they are going to get us turned around. It is the only way we can dig ourselves out of this mess.

5. It is refreshing...
unless of course, one has myopic views....I tend to look at things holistically though....as do the rest of the Biden supporters.

8. Here's a "big box retailer" story from today...
Last night, I went online, Bestbuy, paid for 2 iTouch's, and would pick them up today. I get there, and the store is somewhat dead, so I walked around for a few, looking for a few things. I went to the "pick-up" counter and stood there for 15 minutes, with my print-out....there were about 10 different people who saw me standing there, and not ONE of them asked me if I had been helped.

When my "times up" attitude kicked in, I asked the girl at the returns desk, if there was anyone working AT the pick-up register. She says; "oh, this line is for everything"...I conspicuously looked up that the sign that CLEARLY stated pick-up, EXACTLY where I was standing. I said; "I don't think so, and if you don't want to lose eight hundred, nine dollars and thirty eight cents, you'll get someone to help me right now". She then called someone to help me, but WTF, why didn't she do it 15 minutes earlier?!? She saw me standing there and ignored me.

Unfortunately, this is the lack of personal service most of this society has come to expect. But if I'm dropping that kind of cash, you better hustle your ass to help me, or I'm going elsewhere.

11. One of the things that absolutely shocks me is the lack of acknowledgment.
Just a "be right with you" or "I'll send some one right over" would do it. But they just IGNORE you. Same thing happens in grocery stores. Wouldn't happen in my store (not that I have one, but if I DID...)
