from the Edwards family this holiday season ...'Happiness, Health, Hope"
"But our our words are just a promise about our actions. Live deliberately sacrifice for what is truly important, and above all, in these times and all times, trust your heart."

What I see and hear in John Edwards is that he has taken on....in a very clear and deliberate way....the issues we think about, but never do anything about, such as poverty.

During the Johnson administration, Sargent Shriver was given the challenge of eradicating poverty. But Vietnam was escalated by Johnson, and Shriver never got the Fed Funding that Johnson promised he would get to fight poverty. Johnson couldn't pay for the war and poverty too.

My dear friends....that was in 1967.....40 years ago.....and poverty was never spoken about again in a meaningful way.

I believe that John Edwards has the fight in him to take these big problems to the mat......he is not afraid to get into the ring with anyone.

A fearless President. What a wonderful thought.

6. Edwards... My children will not have toys coming from China...
this holiday season.

I was not impressed with this comment from Edwards considering millions of other people will be worrying about the safety of products they buy for their children this year :(

http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/tag/npr/

“Will you be buying toys that are made in China to place under the Christmas tree this year?” asked one of he moderators.

John Edwards of North Carolina was the first to answer. “No, ma’am I will not. My kids will not have toys coming from China.”

http://www.dennis4president.com/go/newsroom/%91made-in-china%92-hazards-began-with-%91made-in-washington,-d.c.%92/

“Made in China” has become a health and safety warning label for American consumers following the recalls of tens of millions of Chinese-made toys, but the “real warning label should say ‘Made in Washington, D.C. by corporate lobbyists’ because the life-threatening hazards of these products were either ignored or brushed off by members of the Congress seven yeas ago,” Democratic Presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich said today.

And, at least one then-member of the Senate, John Edwards, who has been railing lately in favor of higher safety standards for Chinese-made products, defended his 2000 vote supporting expanded China trade with the famously reported comment, “it does us no good to pretend that these remedies are perfect and that people will not be hurt.”

“Senator Edwards knew seven years ago that people would be hurt, so why did he vote for China trade?” Kucinich asked. “How credible is his newfound consumer protectionism and his campaign advocacy for trade reform to save American jobs?”
