Poll question: Electablity Poll
Setting aside who you prefer as the nominee, which candidate would garner the most votes versus a generic Republican opponent? This is not the same as asking whether candidate x could win. It is distinctly possible that (almost) any of our candidates could win. The question is which candidate would win by the MOST votes?

4. No Senator has been elected since 1960 and even that was a fluke...
...as it was the only election ever where Ohio sided with the losing candidate.

2. Biden. His experience compared to any of the Reps is striking. In a debate, his
knowledge and understanding of the issues would crush the Rep. nom by comparison. I feel he would appeal more strongly to Reps not really happy with their nom, than any of our other candidates would. It's my belief a larger number of people would come away from a debate thinking "this guy knows what he's talking about and actually has the experience to do what he says." Again, not sure our other candidates could equal him in that regard.

8. Edwards always wins this poll.
And for a damn good reason.

Want Democrats to greatly increase their majority in Congress and have Real power to Be Democrats...

The choice is clear. Edwards would landslide and help us capture many more seats.

10. Edwards. He can and will beat any of the leading GOPers, and by a big margin.

11. Biden: has the experience, great speaker, foriegn leaders like him,
doesn't piss off the far left as much as some other candidates, doesn't piss off Republicans as much as some other candidates, doesn't have a "scary" sounding middle name, one of the poorest people running for Pres (so you easily can't paint him as an out of touch limo librul), etc

The biggest negative he has is a senate record that Repubs can distort. Then again, Obama, Clinton and Edwards have that as well.

12. Today Edwards would win by the most votes. If he's the nom, he'd
tie Clinton or even come in behind her as far as margin over repukes goes.
