MSNBC Just Goofed And Went To A Live Feed Of HRC Answering Questions......
Re: the Obama/Drug flap. The anchorwoman was flustered because they were supposed to go to another story about a guy jumping off a bridge in FL. Then they cut the live feed. It looks to me that they don't want to cover HRC live and want to just show the snippets that they deem important rather than her whole statement.

It's becoming more and more clearer to me that the MSM has anointed candidates in both parties to be the nominee and that they don't want anything to screw that up. This a.m. I see that there is a story about Huckabee taking thousands of $'s in gifts. Yesterday it was Obama and drugs.

MSM wants Guliani and Clinton for the Nov race. I imagine they have the presidential winner already picked as well. I'm beginning to come over to the side of those that say this is all fixed.

1. Um...maybe we need to know that Huckabee is corrupt? Wouldn't you like to know that
before he makes it to the White House? Not everything is a conspiracy.

3. After I read your post, I retrieved this, which I had seen earlier.
Might go a long way towards making up your mind about the guy.

4. Guliani Is Probably The Dirtiest Repug Candidate - The Point I Was Trying To Make....
is that MSM wants Guliani - so they overlook or talk around all of Guliani's foibles. If MSM wanted the Huckster - you can be sure that they would do all they could to slant the reporting somehow in his favor no matter how corrupt he is.

Don't get me wrong - I wasn't supporting the Huckster in my original post - only trying to say that because he's running against what MSM wants - they are going to do what they can to stop his forward progress.

6. If the Huckster is NOT what the MSM wants, how come I've read nothing
but wonderful things about how nice he is, how he plays gee-tar, how he pardoned Keith Richards--up until the last couple weeks? He's been on TV and radio 24-7, he gets WAY more exposure than all the other candidates. Seems like far more of a media creation/darling than Rudy--and Rudy was totally steamrolled by the Politico story, and Timmeh Russert tore into him like a rabid hyena last week. Hillary has also been getting her share of negative media. I think your theory isn't holding up here.

7. Right on. They do all they can to create a circumstance
in which Rudy can win.

Rudy will be Bush on Steroids. They like being slapped around
by GWB Administration so much they are trying to put someone
worse in office.

In the GOP Debate this week, Rudy emphasised and repeated the
most important taxcut would be Corporate Taxcut. Corportate
Media look out for their bosses.

11. Absolutely ...
It is hard for them because the overall climate and temperment of the county is not favorable for out and out carrying the RNC agenda ... Yes, the have covered some of Rudy's dirt, but overall, most of the media has carried water on the talking points to deflect it ... Just as they somehow prettied up a complete moron by saying "he is the kind of guy you'd have a beer with" they take a man who SO clearly is lacking in strength and character (witness the pathetic planned phone call from his wife during the NRA speech) and making him into a "tough guy who is going to keep us safe" ...

THAT is how they do it ...

They just keep massaging out the warts to make them innocuous ...

IF Al Gore or John Kerry had dressed up in drag like Guiliani did, and had Don Trump nussle his chest like that, that clip would be the lead in to every major news show on TV everyday, outside of Olbermann ...

9. Of course not. You might see that Huckster ends up being the "establishment" candidate
after all, just like the Chimp. Huck's got Ed Rollins signing on now to his campaign, to help polish the turd and sell it to the gullible.

2. It is certainly all biased, but whether or not it is "fixed" depends on how
citizens respond to the constant biased messaging.

5. Rather
it is they are TRYING to rig things. Never doubt that. They might adapt to defeat, might childishly cheer the Dems and cozy up to them. But just as the RW still harbors the inane credo of the "liberal press" out to get them we should recognize an agenda when we see one and tactics constantly repeated without consequences for lying and slander. Worse than the O'Reillys and Limbaughs, etc. is the cultural bias and
professional betrayal of what seems moe and more a hopeless contradiction. Corporate journalism. Corporate journalism is always going to be wallpapered with corporate propaganda, hidebound in establishment perspective, wound up like a deranged clock by topdown judgment and favor currying. The wonderful display of self-satisfied, fantasy glazed naivete that ones does not look for in corporate execs, cynical news people, pols and the just plain rich offsets our anger. the different sides of that same coin are not all ruthlessly lever.

But in the aggregate, the ugly machinery that most resembles the biblical curse of the World acts with supreme confidence, conning, spinning a different planet on a different axis.

And trying to convince us to all join in, for without us neither money, nor culture, nor celebrity no any faith or myth has any power or any real existence. Without democracy and without truth it always has to be rigged.

10. There is some merit to what you say
I really do feel like we "little people" don't really have any control/say in the whole White House race anymore. That's why I think Congress is what may save us, if enough of us work at it to get real progressives elected.
