LIEberman: McCain can REUNITE Our Country, remove the E,T,E
then move the I in front of the N and what are you left with? RUIN. That's right RUIN!! McCain is an old geezer with an addled brain and has no business being President. McCain lost me when he sniffed Bush's armpits in 2004 (actually he never had me). :puke: Isn't it time for the Dems to grow some cahones and give Joe the boot, once and for all?

Sen. Joe Lieberman is crossing party lines and endorsing Republican Sen. John McCain for president.

"Being a Republican is important. Being a Democrat is important. But you know what's more important than that? The interest and well-being of the United States of America," the Democrat-turned Independent said in announcing his decision Monday morning in New Hampshire.

"Let's put the United States first again, and John McCain is the man as president who will help us do that," he said.

1. He is not crossing party lines--he is an "independent" who is showing his true colors.

and shame on all the elected democrats who supported his "independent" bid in 2006.

3. "Let's put the United States first again,"
Gee, I guess putting the United States first when he was running for re-election wasn't very important, was it?

5. It was very important when he dropped the D as party
affiliation. :sarcasm:

4. That's funny, I was under the distinct impression that the US has been
putting itself first for the last 7 years now. We did, after all, invade and decimate a country on the mere THREAT of WMD's. Then our corporations made shitloads of money off of their misery and destruction. I'm not sure how much more "first" we can put ourselves, Holy Joe. I will also never forget McCain taunting war protestors--sorry, he's NOT the one to unite us.

6. I hope all the Dem candidates are breathing a huge sigh of relief....
Personally, if Liebermann had endorsed a Dem, I'd be highly skeptical of said Dem, and I suspect that most Dems feel the same way about him. May his endorsement, be the kiss of death to whomever he supports.

12. I totally agree
Nobody wants to be associated with this traitorous bastard. If this doesn't kill McCain's campaign for good, nothing will. LOL!

7. Liebernan is an INDEPINDENT--=His old tate Party hardly
recognizes him any more.

This is a sure fire way to help McCain fail in winning the
nomination.

Liberman is in the Senate calling for the bombing of Iran
regularly.

This will unite the country??????????

8. He only put himself first when he lost the primary in his state...
...and, rather than graciously accept defeat, ran against his own party's nominee.

Fuck this whiny windbag.

9. Lieberman needs to be forced out of the Dem party
I'm tired of his little threats of defecting to the republican side to get his way. Go already Joe!

10. Yes, but if you take Republican, remove the E,P,B,L,C and A, and just transpose the I and the U,
it ALSO spells "ruin!" - and if you take Democrat, remove all the letters, and add N, O, I, T, P, another O, L, A, E, R, Y, L, another N, yet another O, another R, U and yet one more O - then spell it all backwards - it spells - "OUR ONLY REAL OPTION!"

11. Saw Lieberman on tv today...
He claims McCain best represents traditional Democratic foreign policy ~ and hopes the Democratic party will get it right again one day. Also said that none of the Dem candidates asked for his support.

13. This endorsement is fantastic!!
it will remind the voting public that McCain thinks things are going well in Iraq, just like Joe. This assessment of world events is McCain's achilles heel.

17. Maybe Liberman(I-3rd Party) should lend McCain (R) some of his DLC staffers that work for him.
Edited on Tue Dec-18-07 04:05 AM by Dr Fate
I'm sure he could use some friendly help from ideological soulmates.

DLC traitors dont seem to mind supporting and working for Pro-Bush 3rd parties in CT, so I'm sure they wont mind working for an out-and-out Bush Loyalist Republican.

What- you say that a Nader-bashing, Loyal DEM DLCer wouldnt dare associate with the likes of a 3rd party? Think again:
