2,600 pages of Clinton records withheld, yet he hasn't "blocked the release of a single document"
So what is it Bill?

The National Archives is withholding from the public about 2,600 pages of records at President Clinton's direction, despite a public assurance by one of his top aides last month that Mr. Clinton "has not blocked the release of a single document."

The 2,600 pages, stored at Mr. Clinton's library in Arkansas, were deemed to contain "confidential advice" and, therefore, "closed" under the Presidential Records Act, an Archives spokeswoman, Susan Cooper, told The New York Sun yesterday.

An official who oversees the presidential libraries operated by the federal government, Sharon Fawcett, said in a recent interview that the records were withheld in accordance with a letter Mr. Clinton wrote in 1994 exercising his right to hold back certain types of files and another letter in 2002 about narrowing the scope of his earlier instructions. Asked by National Journal whether Mr. Clinton had "total control" over the closure of records under the confidential-advice provisions of the law, Ms. Fawcett said he did.

2. Big Dog has addressed this. Said that all papers have been turned

over to the National Archives and that they are going through them as fast as they can (apparently millions and millions of papers). He said he doesn't have anything to do with how fast the stuff is cataloged and released.

Wonder why the Clinton haters aren't as pissed off that Chucklenuts has sealed ALL of Reagan's, Bush 41's and his own Texas Governorship records as much as they are sure that Big Dog and Hill are hiding something? What on earth could be left to find out about the Clinton years? The repugs made sure that everything was released, parsed, lied about and then subpoenaed. They even issued reams of subpoenas for their Christmas list!

One of the first acts Chucklenuts did in office was seal the release of all those records despite the fact they were due to be released to the public. Especially the info regarding Iran Contra and Reagan's and Bush 41's involvement. Chucklenuts' even shipped his Texas records off to his father's library until he was told to send them back to Texas - he didn't own them, the state of Texas does. Texas may own them but they are still sealed.

*out, out damn typo!

3. Gee double whiz....you mean this Sharon Fawcett
questions President Bush, Executive Order 13,233 that prohibits the release of these records, for a twelve year period after the president leaves office. And the present president can at his discretion refuse to release the papers, which he did....go read the GD order and see what it says. But then the opponents of Hillary don't really need the truth they have so damn many lies out there they just don't care.

And the reason President George W. Bush has refused to release these records is this........he does not want his father's records in the public until he has passed....that was the reason given..Lying lying lying.

8. The notion that Clinton has control over his records is a lie
President Bush has at least as much as Clinton does. Under the records act the current administration gets to decide what to release.
