Conservative NH paper endorses Hillary
Clinton supporters are touting this endorsement by the Foster's Daily Democrat:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=3863185&mesg_id=3863185

Of course, all they tell you is that it's a major NH daily.

What they fail to mention is that its a very conservative paper that has almost always supported Republicans. One major exception was in 2004 when they endorsed Joe Lieberman:
http://www.gwu.edu/~action/2004/cands/endorsements/fosters012304.html

Here was their reasoning:
Among Democrats seeking their party's nomination for president, Joe Lieberman comes closest to representing the values this newspaper holds dear - the values of a fiscal conservative, the ability to keep an open mind, the willingness to cross party lines when it is in the national interest, the ability and willingness to seek reasonable resolution of the issues that might divide us.

Even then, they made sure to note:
Let's be absolutely clear on one thing. Foster's Daily Democrat remains fully supportive of President Bush.

Nice to know.

1. Um...is there anything other than a conservative newspaper in NH?
Just asking.

4. Touting now amounts posting a single thread.

Apparently hyperbole remains completely unrestrained in GDP.

On edit: This is also kind of funny since Obama supporters posted about David Brook's endorsement of him over Hillary.

10. It must have been a very difficult decision, though.
They had to decide which terrified them more, a black man or a white woman. So far the only endorsement that really pleases me is the one where an all-female editorial board went for Hillary. I've heard so much unreal, unreasoned nastiness about her from women, that this endorsement was just a balm to my soul.

11. Yes, plus the numerous comments of approval and recommendations
Meanwhile, I couldn't find a single thread where an Obama supporter posted or even approved of David Brook's "endorsement" of Obama. That was all done by Obama opponents.
