How long does the Iowa caucus last?
Will we know the results by midnight or will we have to wait until the next day?

5. It was quick in 04 if I remember correctly
Like just a few hours.

I remember the guy running the caucus shown on cspan gave out the number publicly that was supposed to be used to call in the results. That was minutes after the caucus was over.

8. Yea; I'd say 3-hours...
They do a few rounds of " Musical Chairs", change their minds/switch to a different candidate to make a power play..Kucinich did that with his Caucus and sent them to Edwards in the 04 Caucus.

:hi:

The Caucus starts at 7PM and they usually last about an hour and a half. We'll know by 11PM unless it's really close. It's not actually that many people participating when it's all said and done.
