On the issues that matter: It's Hillary Clinton
According to the new poll the most important issue among Iowa Democrats is the war in Iraq but surpringsly the voters see Hillary Clinton as the best candidate to handle Iraq. Perhaps it is that the voters care less about why we got into the war and what thoughts went into how people stood on the war in 2002 and 2003 but what their plans are now to get our troops home.

On health care, the second most important issue among Iowa Democrats at 27%, the person that voters believe can take care of their needs best are again Hillary Clinton. This is a very important issue not only among Iowa Democrats but Democrats, Independents, and even Republicans all over the country.

And on the economy who do voters trust the most on their third most important issue? Once again it is Hillary Clinton.

The poll also stated that on personal issues Edwards and Obama were favored over Clinton so it looks like we will have a battle of beliefs and views on policies and positions versus personal traits and how voters view the candidates for the next two weeks.

1. How the hell is HRC the best candidate to handle Iraq?

She was the last one to finally come out against the war, and she doesn't seem to have any firm idea what to do.

4. Screwed up on Iraq -- Screwed up on Healthcare
Yeah I'd sure trust her more on those issues.

I'm not questioning the validity of that poll. But, assuming it's valid, it sure is a knuckleheaded and contradictory result.

I find it hard to believe that after the damage she did to the goal of universal health care as First Lady that she is perceived as the most qualified to fix that issue now.

I find it equally hard to believe that the people polled believe that after supporting the lies and idiotic premises that got us into Iraq -- and never coming out clearly against the war since then -- that she is also trusted on that issue.
